The combination of this and a PTFE guide tube has gotten rid of almost all of the drag on the filament drive experienced when using "grippy" filaments like ninjaflex. It utilizes the same mounting location and hardware from the original Makergear spool holder, the only hardware that needs to be bought is an M10x60 Bolt, M10 Nylock nut, and 2x 6200RS ball bearings. The bearings and bolt fit in snugly to make a solid fit with essentially no play. Note: the spool spindle in this one is slightly modified from the other one, I added a fillet at the bases of the fingers for strength. Printing this out of PLA is a bad idea. the fingers broke within weeks.I printed both out PETG at 60% infill. for the base I used 6 perimeters, 6 top layers and 6 bottom. The idea for the 6 perimeters was to hold the head of the bolt as snugly as possible as the bolt wanted to turn in the previous spool holder project I uploaded.
