I'm Alejandro founder of Sur3D. A project which goal is to bring 3D printing closer to homes and businesses.
After checking your work on makexyz, I thought it would be interesting to contact you as it could be very valuable for both of us.
Our last project Selva is a software that lets users generate custom 3D printable content.
Even tough the system as it is right now only lets convert images into 3D STL files (please give it at selva3d[dot]com),
we are developing features so that any object could be created and customized using an image as shown in the attached document.
Moreover we are building an automatic quote system as well, so when the user uploads an STL to you site, he gets an automatic price estimation depending upon the STL material use, printing time, and several parameters that you could define.
What is more interesting is that this platform could be embedded in other sites, so when users access your site for instance, they can have access to this functionality in a transparent and automatic way.
In this opportunity I'll be staying in San Francisco until Friday, so I'd like to know if you are interested in meeting to exchange ideas and evaluate the chances of working together
