The Brownie on the Summon Monster list (FC 1.4 pg 132) offers any caster capable of casting Summon Monster an interesting option. For 3 points a Novice caster can summon a Brownie that has a casting skill of d8, 20 Power Points and can cast a Seasoned Power (Growth/Shrink) and a Veteran Power (Puppet). Novice Powers are Blind, Entangle and Fear. It is cheaper to Summon a Brownie and have it cast spells than actually casting them yourself.

A Summoner has an even better deal and can Summon a Brownie for 1 Power Point, or spend 3 and increase 2 traits.

Brownie's are great for infiltration and scouting. Free teleport every round up to 20 yards. They are a little squishy with only 1 Toughness, but they offer a versatile option for the savvy caster.
