There is a couple of people on here that comment pretty regular on different post and give great ideas. I think it would be cool if we could all meet up in a google hangout and meet face to face. No real reason to do it, just think it would be cool to put faces to names. You never know something cool might come out of it.

Nathan it does not bother me if you want to be the leader or if you want me to be the one.

If you think this is a cool idea please comment to this post with your Time Zone. I will try to make it after 5 before 9. We have different people in different countries so I dont know how well this will work but lets see.

angusgbishop - I'm up for it, I've been meaning to switch to an FDM and it'll be good to speak face to face with people who have experience.
I'm in the same time zone as this guy above me.

vinnie90 - what times would be good for you? I dont plan on having a hangout that last hours. Just wanted something that was like a hour. If it was successful then we could plan another one that can better suit everyones time and stuff.

elpulpo - I'm pretty flexible and can make myself available most of the time except Mondays and Thursdays between 5am and 9am your time. Looking forward to "meeting" you guys. :-)

mhagan - woo! google hangouts. Aka, the one feature introduced with Google+ that gets used. But yeah I would be interested in joining if it is at a reasonable time for the east coast of the US

vinnie90 - I used google hangout one time and it seem pretty reliable. Thats why we will go with it. Nathan of course you are in.

vinnie90 - Ok cool. I know that we are all over the map and we are doing all kinds of things. I dont like to keep people out. If there is a way to record this hangout and set it as a viewable with a link only for youtube, then put the link on this post. Would everyone be ok with that? This way people who cant make it can watch it and possibly try to make it for next time.

elpulpo - It'll be quite late for me. ( 11.30pm ) As Angus says, Thursday's when the weekend starts over here. But I'll try to make it if I possibly can drag myself away from the pub in time. :-)

printedsolid - I'd like to participate if I can. My schedule is usually really rough though. I can typically make some time between 8 and 11 eastern time if I don't have too many orders to fill.

vinnie90 - The plan today is to check them out and see what we got. One I won't use because I went to school for that stuff and already know it...lol.

I think we need to have another Hangout monthly, just to catch up with everyone and basically ....bullshit. lol

vinnie90 - The first video recorded but not the second one which worked. From now on I do want to record them. Just as an archive thing. I got to see why it didnt work. I might have to do some test with you and i one day.

Everyone type in what day of the week is best for them. Also the time with your time zone...

The last time we did it, it was later on in the day. Would it be better if it was during the day?

necf - Just throwing this out there.... recording of the chat for later playback for users who could not participate or didn't even know about it... or posterity? We are in the wild wild west of a new industrial paradigm. We're making up the rules with every community interaction and maybe that's worth saving a record of.

vinnie90 - The thing was that I tried that the first time and I could not connect with anyone. Once I switched it to a regular hangout that wasnt recorded then it work...
Im not a google plus guy....all kinda new. My plan today was to youtube and learn a little bit more about the hangout that way I can record it and such.

vinnie90 - ...I think that was the problem last time. It just filmed me but no one else....I tried to make all the settings as public as possible

raykholo - I see. The other option, which is how I always do group hangouts, is to just use hangouts and not "on air'. What you described is how on air works.
I just start a new hangout using the appearing button in the lower right of g+, and just copy and paste the link of the video call box here.
