LED lights indoors. Which "Temperature" (aka K) numbers are best?

Hi all you lighting gurus and DIYers. I have some indoor floodlights in my living room that are a pain in the ass to change and are the lights that are the most used in my house. I'm thinking of switching them out to LED lights. They are on a dimmer switch but I honestly don't care too much about being able to dim them if it isn't compatible.

I put an LED fixture in my bathroom at around 4000k temperature. It's pretty blue/white and sterile but I like the brightness and my eyes seem to react well to it. I see some places recommend 2700k-3000k for living rooms as they are a softer/warmer/yellowish color closer to incandescent bulbs.

TLDR - If you use LED lights indoors with "K" temperature number do you use for your living room or various rooms? I'm learning towards a pretty bright 4000k or so.

angelafrizzell - What do you initially notice when you visit an indoor vertical farm? Is the high yield ensured by the profusion of leafy greens planted, the space-saving racking systems that stack crops as high as the ceiling, or the cutting-edge technologies?
