jfullman - Well that is quite unfortunate for me. From my understanding the metal machines are quite a bit more impressive and pricier. If you dont mind me asking how much did you spend on it and on material?

printedsolid - jfullman, the laser sintering machines are indeed very expensive.
A lot of the metal 'printing' processes actually print the material in another material (like wax) and then investment cast it into metal. Shapeways actually uses metal sintering to directly print their steel, but I think all of their other materials are printed in wax and then investment cast.
