Does anyone know what the current situation is with scholarships on the wrestling team?
You used to have 9.8 full scholarships. I think it was basically split between all the recruited wrestlers in different proportions. Everyone doesn't necessarily get the same amount, and the discount only applies to tuition. Is this still a formula, and if so, how does the power supply handle it?
Second, I'm just curious about how the extra year of selection will affect recruitment. I think the scholarship pie won't get any bigger just because everyone got a freebie this year. And if so, it could have a negative impact on national enrollment this year. There aren't many schools to give away.
It just seems like there are some unintended consequences if everyone who is eligible returns next year.
