About me
I'm a PC Techy, 3D Designer & Rapid Prototyper. I've been working with Max since 3D Studio for DOS 1.0, and taught over 10 years of classes on a part time basis in 3D Modeling, initially at Pratt Institute & later at the Fashion Inst. of Tech.!
I actually own TWO different 3D Printers - the MakerBot CupCake (my 1st Printer) - and the Stratasys Mojo. It is with the Mojo that I will be producing the print jobs. Its a Far superiour machine than the MakerBot. But, that being said - I have still produced a TON of my own projects on the MakerBot - including a BIG Dragon Sculpture/Prototype - over 4.5 feet long, over 250 pieces - and hundreds of hours to print & assemble. Just so you know - the output of the Mojo is SUPERIOR to many other Desktop 3D Printers - because, it is in fact a Professional level 3D Printer. And, the WaveWash that accompanies the Mojo does an Excellent job of removal of support structures - meaning almost anything can be printed on the Mojo. I recently produced a design that incorporated Integrated Hinge designs - and, after support removal - the hinges worked Great!

Fast response time, as well as overall rapid turnaround of the project - Kurt was easy to work with and helped walk me through optimal setup/orientation of my STL file to minimize print cost. Excellent print quality with the Mojo, and the dissolvable support material is a huge plus, highly recommended for detailed projects with internal holes/overhangs, or that need fine tolerances and/or a great finish. For us, the extra cost was well worth it.
