Things I've Made

About me

I run an Any cubic Photon DLP resin printer as well as a TEVO Tarantula FDP printer.

Every job is unique and handled by me personally.

Printing in resin is very different from printing with filament and can require some changes in the way prints are set up to be printed. The main difference is that the resin prints are produced upside down. That means supports that are needed are different from FDP prints. I can help with this in the slicing process if you would like. Solid resin prints are just that, solid. This means that when I print a solid model it will use a good deal of resin. The model can be made hollow to save on resin but holes have to be added to it to allow the resin and cleaning liquids to drain.

On my Photon DLP I recently printed a very small rams horn manifold and a turbo charger in green resin. (See photos) These were very interesting prints to look at because of the details that emerged.

As can be seen in my photos the Photon is capable of placing 2 mm tubes in the center of a flat 3 mm substrate with very high accuracy. This was a test for a future customer project.

I also printed a highly detailed castle in green resin at only 5 percent of its original size to see how far I could push the details. The resolution was great even at that small size.

A while back I printed a 3D turntable type scanner with my Tarantula printer using PLA filament. One machine making another machine. I really like that.

In my photos I show a ceramic cow skull which I scanned with the 3D systems Sense scanner and printed in black PLA on the Tarantula. The 3D systems Sense scanner does a good job on this sort of thing. Need to bring a non copyrighted object into the digital world, I can do that for you.

I enjoy challenging print and scan jobs because seeing them come into existence on the printer is a very satisfying thing.
