My 3D printer is custom built to create high quality prints in PLA. I've been 3D printing for about 4 years and built my most recent printer this past year.

A model must fit in a 300mm x 300mm by 225mm box. I can print with supports, but designing a model so that it can be printed easily (solid & flat base with angles no more than about 30 degree relative to the base) means the print will turn out much better. I will let you know if any parts of the model will be difficult to print properly and how you can fix that.

If you'd like to know more about my machine, I designed it in Solidworks and built it about half a year ago. It is using 0.9 degree stepper motors for increased accuracy and Openbuilds V-wheels for smooth and consistent prints. I use trinamic TMC2130 motor drivers which allow for very smooth motion. I have a custom designed circular fan duct and a 97mm blower fans that cools prints, allowing for less warping and better overhangs.
