EDMS Australia is a privately owned Australian company providing a diverse, complementary range of engineering, fabrication and site construction services to Sugar, Agriculture, Defence, Marine, Resource, Renewable Energy, Tourism and the Industrial sectors.

Established in December 2005, the company has consistently grown to be a robust engineering company through re-investing in and developing our facilities and our people’s capabilities.

To further innovate, EDMS utilise a suit of high quality 3D printers including a Markforged X7 and a Markforged Mark 2 to offer 3D printing in Cairns and Townsville.

These printers can print in the following materials:

- Nylon (white)
- Onyx (Black) - High strength thermoplastic (Nylon & 20% chopped strand Carbon Fibre)
- Onyx FR (Black)* - Fire resistant 'self-extinguishing' high strength thermoplastic (Nylon & 20% chopped strand Carbon Fibre) - achieves V-0 rating on the UL94 flammability test.

*Note: Can only be printed on the Markforged X7 machine.

For further strength the materials can be internally reinforced with continuous strands of fibre. By reinforcing with fibres parts can have a higher strength to weight ratio than aluminium. Fibres available are:

- Carbon Fibre
- Kevlar
- Fibreglass
- High Strength High Temperature Fibreglass

Post Processing Options:
- Cerakote paint system
- 2 pack enamel
