My name is John and I am a hobbyist and electrical engineer (in that order, :) ). Currently running a Rostock MAX v2 (with a few mods) and using 1.75mm plastic. Nozzle is 0.35mm. The bed size is actually 280mm diameter, not 280x280. Depending on quality needed, can print up to 100mm/s! Continually trying to improve printer!
CNC router is a shapeoko 2 expanded to cut 22"x22". Running a 400W spindle and tinyg. Using V-Carve software for toolpath creation. Setup is enclosed in a custom acrylic case on hinge for noise reduction, waste containment, user protection, and all around coolness :) .
As for CAD, I have been using Autodesk Inventor for 5+ years, with limited access to Unigraphics (NX). Most of what I do is purely functional parts, so please, don't ask for the Eiffel Tower or a decorative bear mug ;P . Other then that, ask for anything and I'll see what I can do!
IMPORTANT INFO:
-Please choose shipment method only.
-Prefer files that can be read into Inventor (step, iges, etc.), in case I think there are some areas that could use some support.
-Minimum file requirement: .stl
-If you specify Blue, I have Dark Blue/Light Blue/Translucent Blue, so specify which you would like.
ADDITIONAL SERVICE:
In addition to the 3D printing, I also offer finishing services for 10$ per part. Currently this is only for ABS parts. See the picture of the red 3D knot to see what it looks like. If it is several small parts it can be the same price, ask and we will work something out.
