About me

I am a mechanical engineer with several years of experience with 3d printers. While in school at VT, I took a great class on additive manufacturing that really gave me a passion for 3d printing and its potential uses. I started building a 3d printer out of wood, but once I graduated and got a job I gave that up (for now) and purchased a 3d printer (Reprap i2). Now I am finally able to create my more complex designs.
I also started getting into woodworking while in college. Most of what I have made so far is furniture (desk, chair, stool, bench, etc.) but I have also done some decorative things (Christmas ornaments, handles for utensils, bowls, pens, light boards) and some other odds and ends.
In addition, I have recently started casting in aluminum. I am still working on the process, but hopefully soon I will be able to enter small scale production with castings.
