About me
My printer is a Markforged Mark One. Material available is nylon that can be reinforced with continuous filament carbon fiber, kevlar or fiberglass. This makes an extremely strong and rigid part suitable for a functioning prototype. Nylon prints slightly translucent but can be dyed to almost any color.
Carbon Fiber- Highest strength to weight ratio. Good for applications requiring the greatest stiffness and strength.
Kevlar- Best abrasion resistance and most flexible. Good for parts that need to be durable and resistant to impact.
Fiberglass- Most cost effective. About 40% as stiff as carbon fiber and 2X the weight. Good for everyday applications where strong parts are needed
