About me
My background is in Design Engineering, which includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that I was an Aircraft Structural & Hydraulics Mechanic in the Navy. I have a design studio in San Diego where I can print whatever you need printed within the capabilities of the printers. If you need a print in a color not listed, just let me know. I guarantee you'll be happy with your print or you'll get your money back.

I accept Solidworks, CATIA, Rhino as well as .stl file types. Of course, .stl is preferred, in the orientation that you want it printed, z-axis up.
Pricing: Minimum order is $20. Minimum per print price is $5, with discounts available for higher quantities. Depending on complexity and support structure, typical parts for PLA (brittle, mainly used for visual prototypes) are $0.25-0.50 per cm^3, ABS (stronger, slightly more flexible, usable prototypes are possible) is $.50-1.00 per cm^3...depending on the layer height required. A high definition print requires monitoring the print, long print times of 8+ hours = higher cost.
I can also point you in the right direction if you are interested in injection molding if you'd like to mass-manufacture your product.
Please Note: Printing sometimes requires an adequate amount of extra material used during the building process. Typically between 8 - 15 cm^3 will be added for supports and rafts required for printing. I also offer finishing services including sanding and painting for a fee, but it depends on the part complexity.

Dan did a great job steering me in the right direction for a project where he fabbed a set of replica google glasses on short notice for my comic con costume. I submitted a file for the glasses that I found on the web, but Dan took the time to remodel parts if it to increase the realism level. The nose pieces were well positioned and the replica did not slide down my nose a single time I n 4 days and 3 nights in costume. Communication during the project was also outstanding.

Good communication even though there was a slight delay due to Dan running out of white PLA. It was hassle free and easy to get my difficult print done.
