About me
I'm a mechanical engineer working in the aerospace industry, and regularly use 3d printing at work for airworthy production parts, composite tooling, and rapid prototyping/fit checks.
I've got a well-tuned Flash forge creator pro printer with experience printing HIPS, ABS, and PLA. The build volume is 225mm x 145mm x 150mm (8.8in x 5.7in x 5.9in). It is excellent for printing both functional and artistic parts out of ABS, which is what I spend the majority of my time printing.
I'm also a hobbyist machinist. My new x-carve machine has a 31in x 31in x 2.5in cutting area and is very adept at cutting woods and plastics.
