A lithophane is an etched, molded, or in this case; printed, artwork in very thin translucent material that can only be seen clearly when back lit with a light source.
A 3D printed lithophane doesn't look like much, that is until you place a light behind it! A back lit lithophaneturns into a high resolution photo in beautiful grayscale (or yellow, red, etc. depending on the color it was printed in).
