Guys, I need to have some small hand carved wooden birds 3D scanned and a working clean STL file generated so I can have the parts 3D printed. If you can do both, or at least scan them please reply back. size is about like a baseball. 4" wingspan. I have a ceremony to give one of these away on February 22, 10 days from now. I need someone local and quick. More projects after this one, but more time on those. Dallas or Fort Worth general area please.

- Im willing to knock these out for you. I live in Opelousas Louisiana. If you want to ship the birds over here I can get it scanned, cleaned, and printed in a day. (Depends on how many printed)

- If they are wood, you may have good success getting models from pictures using Autodesk 123DCatch. Sorry I can't be of more help with scanning.
Although I am not local, I should have no problem getting at least one to you by the 22nd - depending on when you could supply STL files. I have a Stratasys Dimension which uses support material to print over hangs (such as the bird wing span) and has a heated build chamber to ensure that the parts do not warp. I currently have white, black, and steel gray materials. Send me a message if you are interested. Ben

- I should add that support material will be critical with many organic shapes that have overhanging curvature or flat sections. In the case of a bird's wings as well as the body being above the legs it would be impossible to print these in one piece without support material. I also want to add that I will do vapor smoothing of the models for an additional fee.
